Biography:
Malorie Hepner: Malorie is an Architect with OPN Architects and has been with the company since the February 2014. Malorie has worked for several small firms in Eastern Iowa and has managed projects of all sizes and types. Malorie relocated from the OPN Cedar Rapids office to the OPN Madison office in May 2014. She excels in combining creative spaces with realistic details, while maintaining close contact and communication with clients. Malorie holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in Urban Design from SCAD, also. Malorie has a combination of technical, communication, and organizational skills that keep projects running smoothly for all parties involved. She is involved in a number of local organizations, including AIA WI, Madison Rotary, and DMI. Ryan Frank: An integral member of the OPN studio, Ryan has been with OPN since 2016. He enjoys all aspects of a project and especially working with a client to realize their vision in an unexpected way. A great diagram leads to clear and concise planning and an opportunity for a high level of design and functionality. Ryan is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ryan is a registered Architect with a degree from Iowa State University. Ryan has worked at several firms throughout Wisconsin and Iowa and has worked on project types including: libraries, healthcare, as well as corporate and commercial architecture.

Description:
Two young Architects will discuss their journey from when they first realized they wanted to be an architect to their current positions. Along the way, they will discuss the college process, alternate career paths, daily life in the industry, and where the future of Architecture may be headed.
