In his role as Community Investment Director, Judd oversees the philanthropic and charitable work at American Family Insurance. This includes overseeing two foundations and related staff, as well as programmatic components to the company’s philanthropic work which consists of matching gift, college scholarship, community grants and volunteer programs. Judd’s teams also are responsible for the American Family Insurance Championship PGA Tour Champions golf tournament in Madison. Judd joined American Family in 2013 as Federal Government Affairs Director. Prior to joining American Family, Judd served as President of Edgewood High School in Madison. During his eight-year tenure at Edgewood, he was responsible for setting the strategy for Edgewood, leading the day-to-day functions of the school, overseeing teachers and staff, and engaging the community at large. Judd also has experience working in the insurance industry and for a state-wide education based trade organization. Judd has deep roots in Madison, and is a graduate of Madison West High School. He also went in state for his undergraduate and law degrees, earning both from Marquette University. Judd and his wife Lisa live in Madison, and their son Sam is a 2017 graduate from the University of Minnesota.
