Dr. Andrew Winterstein is the director of the accredited Athletic Training Program at UW-Madison, part of the Department of Kinesiology. He also holds a clinical appointment at University Health Services and an affiliate appointment in the Dept. of Ortho. Rehab in the School of Medicine and Public Health. Winterstein holds a BS in Secondary Education, Biology from the University of Arizona and went on to earn his MS in Applied Physiology/Athletic Training from the University of Oregon. He has also received his PhD in Higher Education Administration from UW Madison. Winterstein is a certified member of the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association (WATA) and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
