Alexander McGowan has two years in his current role as an Associate Scientist at Kraft Foods-Oscar Mayer but brings past Food Science experiences with him. He works as part of the Brand Value team at Oscar Mayer, leading productivity initiatives, line extensions, and product quality enhancements. Alex majored in Food Science, with a Chemistry minor, at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Outside of work, Alex is an avid football fan and video game player. He serves as one of the newest owners of the Green Bay Packers.

Food science is a study concerned with all technical aspects of foods, beginning with harvesting or slaughtering, and ending with its cooking and consumption, an ideology commonly referred to as "from field to fork." It is one of the life sciences and is usually considered distinct from the field of nutrition.
